In the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games Gianmarco Tamberi and Mutaz Essa Barshim competed in the high jump. Gianmarco Tamberi competed for Italy and Mutaz Essa Barshim competed for Qatar.
Both men scored the same score. They were equally high scores. This continued until the poles were 2.37m high. Neither man could clear 2.39m.
After both men failed their three attempts the ref asked both men if they wanted to have a jump off. But Mutaz Essa Barshim asked if they both could have gold and the ref said yes.

Emma Twigg Emma Twigg (born 1 March 1987) is a New Zealand rower. A single sculler, she was the 2014 world champion and won gold in her fourth Olympics in Tokyo in July 2021.
